Azerbaijan Investment Company (AIC) and Black Sea Trade & Development Bank (BSTDB) have signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Co-operation.
AIC reported that the document was signed by AIC executive director and BSTDB president Hayrettin Kaplan with participation of AIC Supervisory Board chairman and minister of economic development Heydar Babayev.
Bulgaria and Romania started a project “Bulgarian – Romanian research centre for steady tourism”, to integrate the academic and business potential of both countries.
The project will operate until March 2009. The initiative is financed by PHARE program for trans border cooperation, “Steady development and preservation of the biodiversity” and will be executed by “The International Collage” cooperating the Romanian association “Regional centre for development of the human recourses and social management”.
The section of the pipe on Bulgaria territory will be build by common enterprise of Gazprom and a Bulgarian company.
This was announced by several members of the Russian delegation in Bulgaria, but from Gazprom are still quiet.
Russia's Gazprom and the Italian company Eni are the initiators of the South Stream project for gas pipeline by the Russian Black sea coast to South Europe.
The projects' finishing is foreseen for 2013. The sea part is 900 km long, with 30 billion cubic meters gas will pass by the Black sea bed.
Romania is making intense preparations for 2008 NATO Summit in April, when some surprises are not excluded to appear, such as Vladimir Putin’s visit to Bucharest, informs Deutsche Welle. According to the German radio station, the Russian president from Kremlin – who is at the end of his second presidential legal mandate – might come at the NATO Bucharest Summit. This would be his first visit to Romania, which is extremely important, as during the 8 years he has been the leader of the Russian Federation, he did not want to visit the ex –Soviet satellite.
Russia and Ukraine settled the bilateral dispute on the inventory of properties of the Black Sea Fleet, stranded in the neighboring country since the disintegration of the Soviet Union, a diplomatic source said on Thursday.
According to the agreement, an inventory of the objectives under Russian administration must be made, Deputy Foreign Minister Grigori Karasin pointed out.
